Amorgos Agia Anna beach

General information

The beautiful beach of Agia Anna in Amorgos is located very close to Chora, only some steps away from the monastery of Hozoviotissa Monastery, the most important sight of the island. The stunning beach was used as a filming location for the famous film The Big Blue.

Agia Anna is a small rocky beach that stands out for its spectacular beauty. Sunbeds and umbrellas are not available there, so make sure to take the essential beach gear with you.

Despite this inconvenience, Agia Anna remains a quite famous beach on the island. Due to its rocky landscape, it might be a little risky to bring children there, yet it offers an amazing diving and snorkeling experience in the crystal waters of the Aegean Sea.

    Agia Anna
Did you know that Agia Anna in Amorgos is the beach were the movie "Big Blue" was filmed? It was a movie with Rosanne Arquette and Jean Reno, about two divers who were competing a lot and then took part in a competition... Anyway, part of it was filmed in Agia Anna. I had seen the movie many times and recognized the location when I went there. It was a great experience!
