Just a short drive away from the city of Heraklion, Kokkiadis Honey Farm offers the opportunity to learn the secrets of beekeeping and honey harvesting! Welcomed by the beekeeper Stavros, visitors will go on a guided tour around the farm's facilities, followed by a honey-tasting session. The guided tour is designed to give you an insight into honey production and the tasting experience involves not only honey but also a wide variety of handmade sweets and other products of the farm.

The delicacies produced at Kokkiadis Honey Farm are traditionally prepared, without added sugar and organic, with an excellent taste and of fine quality. The farm does not use pesticides or antibiotics.

About the Beekeeping Tour & Honey Tasting Experience

Visitors start by walking around the farm and exploring its facilities. The farm tour is guided and it aims at teaching you about the basics of beekeeping, as well as the honey harvesting practices and products.

The second part of the tour involves honey-tasting. You will also get to try various other products made at the farm and visit the shop of the farm.

The products included: Honey, jam, spoon sweets, Cretan rakomelo (raki with honey), liqueurs, and olive oil.

Duration and entry fees: The guided tour and honey-taking experience lasts ~2 hours. A single ticket costs 60€/person. Note: Ticket discounts are available for children, people with disabilities, and groups. Contacting the farm in advance is required.

• Cancellations free of charge can be made for up to 7 days before the tour.
• Pants and closed-toe shoes are required while bringing a hat is highly recommended. Protective bee suits will be offered upon arrival.
