Deres Chania: About 25 km south of Chania Town lies the small beautiful village Deres. Surrounded by small rivers, lush greenery of plane trees and wild mountains, Deres is a wonderful village on the way to Sougia, in the southern Crete. Stone houses and tiny churches dot the village. The road leading there is asphault but windy, so attention is required when driving.
