We had a horrible experience with The 12 Events while planning my September 2024 wedding in Pylos, Greece. Despite the fact that my husband is Greek and from the area where we got married, we had decided to hire wedding planners to manage and coordinate our wedding, given our busy schedules and the fact that my husband's mother was very sick at the time. One of the first things we asked about before we decided to hire them is if we could use a local florist (as we explained, this was very important to my husband's family). After initially confirming that we could, one month before the wedding we found out they never followed up with the local florist and insisted we use their own florist. This significantly increased costs, as the flowers now had to be transported from Athens to Pylos, but even worse, the flowers that they provided at the wedding reception were dying! The flowers at the reception looked awful - including the ones that were on my cake. We also expected the planners to be creative and provide us with suggestions. They were neither. Instead, they have templates that they use, which you have to pick from and they do not and cannot deviate from them. We spent numerous hours via zoom calls and in person describing our vision only to see at our reception that the tables and flower design were not at all what we discussed. Regarding costs, they didn't even provide us with a quote (despite our repeatedly asking) until 3 weeks before the wedding. When it was excessively high, we were told that we didn't have to use them, knowing it would be almost impossible to find another planner to put on a wedding in just three weeks. When we expressed concern, they responded by yelling at us. We were shocked by the way they spoke to us, the client. Overall, this company was not organized, not creative, had to be reminded to coordinate with vendors, and made the wedding planning process even more stressful for us. Don't be fooled by their instagram account either. My husband and I would never recommend these planners to anyone. I never write reviews but I want to save someone else from making the same mistake I did.
