The 21st Panorama of European Cinema

The 21st Panorama of European Cinema, organized by Eleftherotypia Newspaper, is going to open its cinema doors from tomorrow, October 9th, till October 19th.  More than 80 films from Europe and other continents will be presented in two cinemas, Apollo Cinemax Class and Microcosmos Filmcenter. The Panorama of European Festival started in 1988 and every year it honours great movies and important artists from Europe. This year, the Panorama will start with the Greek film Athens-Instabul, directed by Nikos Panagiotopoulos. Among the movies to participate in the festival, we can include Quiet Chaos by Antonello Grimaldi and Blindness by Fernando Meirelles. There is also a special section dedicated to Sex and Love in Cinema, with some rare movies, like Blind Beast by Yasumo Masumura, the famous Gilda by Charles Vidor and Maitresse by Barbet Schroeder.
