The whole exhibition is inspired by the the Greek history and mythology: Persephone at the time of her abduction from Hades; Hecate, the mother of the Troyan princes; and many scenes from the Eleysinian Mysteries. "I am interested in the relation of the Greeks with their cultural background. I was always looking for an identity and an anagoge of the myths to artistic elements", said Mrs Xenou for her works. The exhibition is inaugurated in June 1st and will last till August 10th. The National Gardens are located next to the Parliament House in Syntagma Square, in the heart of Athens, and they are open from sunrise to sunset.
