Balkan Summer Fest 2023

A night dedicated to the joyful sounds of Balkan folk, the Balkan Summer Fest of 2023 will feature three brass-instrument bands at the Faliro Summer Theater on Monday, June 19th, 2023!

The unique group Agia Fanfara will showcase their abilities in brass, wood, and percussive instruments while playing famous Balkan hymns and psalms with their own twist! On top of that, Xalkina Ixoxrwmata, a group from Florina and Aridea towns, will play their variations on traditional northern Greece tunes, whereas you will also see the Salonique Brass Band, including the singer Mairi Doutsi and the accordionist Thanos Stavridis.

Names that have appeared in past Balkan Summer Fests include the famous Greek band Koza Mostra, the folk-inspired punk band Thrax Punks, the Balkan-inspired sounds of Baildsa, and the Czech Eurodance group Skupina Imperio!
