The 20th Art Athina International Contemporary Art Fair of Athens is taking place from tomorrow, June 4th, until June 7th, 2015 at the Taekwon Do Olympic Stadium in Paleo Faliro, Athens Greece. The art fair is under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Education and Religious Affairs, and the Municipality of Athens.
This is the most significant annual visual arts event in Greece, inaugurated in 1993 by the Hellenic Art Galleries Association, which still influences the audience of the contemporary artistic scene in Greece and worldwide.
Art Athina constitutes one of the oldest and major European regional contemporary visual arts exhibitions, functioning as a meeting point for curators, collectors, art critics and generally art lovers, by giving them the opportunity to explore first hand foreign art galleries and converse.
This year's Art Athina fair will display 41 galleries from 13 countries and include several parallel events, such as tributes to collectors and galleries, a platforms project and kids art lab. The whole venture is supported by many Greek and international cultural institutions, museums, art publications and media. Opening hours: Friday, June 5th, 15:00-21:00
Saturday, June 6th, 12:00-21:00
Sunday, June 7th, 12:00-21:00
