 Meteora is located in the Northern area of Greece, at about 326 kilometres for Athens. In spite of its location it is visited by more than a million tourists every year.
To get to the place, there is a variety of possible itineraries, and one of the most popular ways to reach Meteora is by following the route from Athens to Larissa, and then to Tríkala. According to the map, this road goes on for 21 more kilometres as far as Kalambaka, the small city afoot Meteora’s mounts, in its Northern area, just five kilometres far from the famous monasteries.
