Arachova, the gem of Parnassus, represents the glory of the Byzantine period which left fascinating specimens. It is worth mentioning Osias Loukas church which adorns the town of Arachova and Agios Georgios standing on top of the town. Only some kilometres from this charming town is the ancient world famous archaeological site of Delphi.

Opposite the Peloponese lies the majestic town of Nafpaktos, the scenic route to this charming place passes by many historical sites including the monastery of Panagia Varnakova and the holy monastery of Panagia Ambelakiotissa, in the homonymous village. In Mesolongi, the land of freedom, one can see popular sites of pilgrimage like the monastery of Saint Symeon, Agios Spyridon and the small church of Panagia Finikias, that Lord Byron often visited.
