 The Blue Cave of Alonissos: The wild and rocky coastline of Alonissos island, Sporades, creates a lot of small caves. Some of them are pretty deep and se water gets into them,creating a nice site to see. Such is the Blue Cave, located on the north eastern side of Alonissos, between the remote beaches of Strovili and Lalarias, a few km north of Agios Dimitrios village.
Excursion boats that leave daily from Patitiri transfer people to the Blue Cave and generally makes a tour of the remote northern side of Alonissos and the surrounding islets. Water around the Blue Cave is so clear that the wild rocks around are reflected on them. This is a nice and impressive place to see. |
