The impressive Kavos Castle is a stone-built fortress in eastern Hydra Town, overlooking the port of Hydra and the vast sea! It is a sight with a rich historical background, given that the castle showcases the statues of naval revolutionaries Andreas Miaoulis and Antonios Kriezis!
This castle is a host to plenty of events during the Miaoulia happenings each June, including live music performances and various theatrical sets, while it also participates in cannonball shots in celebration of New Year’s Day! In addition, Kavos is an excellent spot for a visit during the sunset hour, and it also provides fantastic views over the bay and the port of Hydra!
