This year’s Cannes Festival was one of the most spectacular ones to date, but in our hearts it remains rather special for one specific reason: the acclaimed, Oscar-nominated duet of Yorgos Lanthimos and Efthimis Philippou won the award for best screenplay for their latest masterpiece “The Killing of a Sacred Deer”, which was also selected to compete for the prestigious prize of Palme d’Or.
