Full Moon Festival 2018

Aug 24, 2018 — Aug 27, 2018 • Category: Events

It all started back in 2002, when the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports organized the Full Moon celebration for the first time. But what is this event all about?
On August 26th, both locals and tourists will have the chance to visit some of the most important Greek archaeological sites, with a free (!) entrance.
From the 132 archaeological sites that will participate in total, the 95 will host cultural events, such as concerts, performances, guided tours and art shows. Through this event, the Hellenic Ministry of Culture encourages the visitors to make a step towards culture.
In some areas, the celebrations start on August 24th and continue until the 27th.
