Mathraki is a small and isolate island north of Corfu. It belongs to the Diapontia complex of islands (along with Othoni and Ereikoussa) and actually it is the smallest of the three islands. Small in size and with few inhabitants, Mathraki is the perfect destination to get away from the hussle of modern life.
The main village of Mathraki is Chorio, on the southern side of the island. Some houses surround the port, Plakes, and some others are spread here and there in the inland. Tourism facilities in Mathraki include a couple of taverns and a few rooms to rent.
There are no tourism offices in Mathraki but all information can be obtained by the locals. The nearest official tourism office in located in Corfu Town. |
