The beaches of Mathraki island distinguish for their crystal water and the amazing natural background. The most famous beach is Portello that extends for long. The other beaches are mostly rocky coves. All beaches in Mathraki can be accessed on foot or by boat.

Location: On the eastern coast of Mathraki
Description: Portello amazes visitors with its large size, the crystal water and the sandy beach. Actually, this is the only sandy beach in Mathraki. It can be reached through an asphaulted road or on foot from Plakes.
Location: On the south eastern side of Mathraki
Description: Arvanitiko is a rocky coast that can be easily reached by boat or on foot from Chorio. The clean water, the wild landscape and the calm ambience attract a few visitors.
Location: On the western side of Mathraki
Description: Kontrakas is a small rocky cove with crystal water. Surrounded by much greenery, Kontrakas can be reached on foot or through an asphaulted road.
Location: On the eastern side of Mathraki
Description: Agouridi is a small cove that has both sandy and pebbled paths. Its small coves are ideal for complete isolation. The water is crystal and the rock formations create a lovely place to relax.
Location: On the south western part of Mathraki
Description: Apidies is a rocky coast within a walking distance from Chorio, the capital of the island. A small port in Apidies provides safe shalter for fishing boats.
Location: On the north western coast of Mathraki
Description: Fyki is actually a large bay with several rock formations in the sea. The clean water and the beautiful ambience attract some swimmers, who come on foot from Plakes or by boat.
