Lefkada Prophet Elias Church

The pretty church of Prophet Elias in Lefkada is spotted on one of the island's tallest spots, at an altitude of 1015 meters! It features a ground-level design with white and light-blue painted exteriors, as well as a whitewashed interior with a handful of chairs, Orthodox icons, a small chandelier, and a sand candelabrum! Plus, spot the corner-placed bell tower with views over the village of Nidri and eastern Lefkada!

A very photogenic place, the surroundings of Prophet Elias Church are ideal for picture-taking sessions, whereas the church also celebrates annually on the 20th of July! Prophet Elias is accessible by car or on foot, following designated pathways from the villages of Karia and Eglouvi.
