The island complex of Fourni is located on the Eastern Aegean Sea, south of Ikaria and Samos. This is a complex of 13 small islands that only 2 are inhabited, Fourni and Thimena. The other islands are uninhabited and visited only by boat for swimming and total privacy.
Small and remote, the island of Fourni is not particularly developed in tourism. Actually, it is an alternative destination for trekkers, nature lovers and naturists. Due to its small size and the long distance from Piraeus, Fourni is not visited by many tourists every summer.
Therefore, there is not a branch of the National Tourist Organization on the island. If visitors need information, they can ask the locals, who will be happy to inform you. |
