Most villages of Syros are small yet picturesque. They are obviously a mixture of the Venetian and the Cycladic architectural style. Ermoupolis and Ano Syros are the most famous villages, with distinctive architecture and Medieval sense.

Description: This tourist resort is among the most popular on the island. It has many hotels, taverns, beach bars and watersports along the beach.

Description: Galissas is a lovely tourist resort on the western side of the island. In front of the village, there is a nice beach with shallow water.

Description: This is a lovely seaside village that is developing as a busy tourist resort, on the southern side of Syros.

Description: Azolimnos is actually a tourist resort that gets very popular in summer. It has many hotels and an organized beach.

Description: Megas Gialos is a popular tourist resort on Syros, located on the southern side of the island.
Location: 10 km north of Ermoupolis
Description: This small village is also called San Mihalis and it is located on the northern side of Syros. It has stone houses and a path leads to an interesting cave.
