Sun umbrellas and sun beds have been placed on the sand, while taverns by the side offer a relaxing lunch.
There are also hotels and apartments lining the bay, if you wish to stay for the night. The nearby coastal area Delagratsia is nice for a walk admiring the classic mansions with lovely gardens and pines.
The sunset should not be missed, while the view of the surrounding islets gives it a magnificent appeal. Here and there naval vessels pass by to the nearby base.
To reach the beach, you can catch one of the hourly bus services from Ermoupolis that go round the southern coast. The bus stop near the pier has the bus schedule posted there, and you can also take the air conditioned bus. There is also a taxi stand at Miaouli Square.
