General Information:
There are a number of age old restaurants in Naxos town but very few as old as Lucullus Restaurant Taverna. Founded in 1908, the restaurant has seen generations go by. The best part is that things just keep getting better here at Lucullus!
Tucked away in old market street, this is one of the most charming restaurants on the island. The restaurant is well located and it is surrounded by some wonderful buildings. Wooden tables laid out close together give one a very cozy feeling and the friendly staff is very welcoming.
The restaurant is well known for its traditional Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, and will be recommended by most guides in town. Some of their famous recipes include Salmon fillet, rabbit stifado, lamb kleftiko and grilled hamburger amongst many others. Portions here are very large and one is advised to order thoughtfully. One distinguishing factor that separates Lucullus from the rest is the presentation of the food, which is a welcome change from the normal. Food is as good as most of the restaurants on the island and one can expect a fulfilling meal here at Lucullus.
The place is reasonably priced and the service is good.
