A large number of shops, cafes, bar and rooms for rent can be found in both villages.
On Easter Sunday, a traditional feast takes place in those two villages: the burning of the effigy of Judas.
This tradition is celebrated in various parts of Greece and dates from the early Christian times. After the burning, a contest is organised, opposing the two villages.
The young men of each village throw dynamite sticks in a large field and the winner is the village whose members have made the most noise.
