There is no airport in Kea. The closest airport is located in Athens and receives frequent domestic and international flights all year round. From the airport of Athens, outside the exit terminal, there are regular ferries (almost every hour) to Lavrion, a small port town on the southern side of Attica. From the port of Lavrion, visitors can take the ferry to Kea. The ferry runs 3-4 times per day and the trip takes 1 and half hour.

Ferries to Kea depart only from the port of Lavrion, on the southernmost spot of Attica. There are no ferries to Kea from other ports of Attica, such as Piraeus or Rafina. The trip from Lavrion to Kea lasts for 1 hour and half and operates 3-4 times per day. In summer, ferries also connect Kea to few other islands of Cyclades, such as Kythnos and Syros, which gives visitors the chance to combine holidays in many Greek islands.
