The amazing works and days of the acclaimed Greek artist Yannis Tsarouchis are presented to the audience in the second part of the much anticipated exhibition “Yannis Tsarouchis: Illustrating an autobiography” that will be hosted at the Benaki Museum up until February 26.
The second part follows the artistic corpus and route of Tsarouchis from the early days of the German occupation during the WWII to the dark times of the Civil War. Guests can observe the interrelation between the works of the artist and the time setting, as well as the influence of the socioeconomic and political factors that were present - and through the additional written and photographic documents, the history of modern Greece unfolds before the visitor’s eyes.
The exhibition is hosted at the Pireos Street Annexe while tickets are available from 3.5 to 7 euros.
