Very interesting tour that covers all the central monuments of Athens. Thank God we took the tour in May because in hotter months (like July and August) it would be very tiring for an oldie like me :-)

Actually a walking tour that included all the important sights of Athens. We had only 2 days available to see the city, so felt like a walking tour would suit us the best. After all, we like walking and in September the temperature is not high.

We met inside the metro station of Syntagma and the guide Stefan had a sigh in his hand with the name of the tour. First, it was the National Parliament where we watched the change of the guards, then the wonderful National Gardens (I loved them!!), the impressive Zappeion with the Neoclassical style, the Acropolis of course and then through the paved streets of Apostolos Pavlos to Thission and thje Ancient Agora.

Ah, the Athenians are so lucky to have such a beautiful historical centre! I am not sure of they realize how nice it is to walk through all these monuments. In fact, we saw more tourists than locals on our way. The guide was excellent, very humorous, very social and good at his work. He even gave us a map of Athens centre and a small leaflet with information about the sights we would see. Great work, well done!
