Music Festival 2010

This year Music Festival of Nafplion is dedicated to the musicians and artists of Switzerland and Poland. Artists of classical music from all over the world will present their work to this festival, which is co-organized with the Municipality of Nafplion and the Embassies of Switzerland and Poland in Greece.
On the weekend of June 18th-20th, prominent musicians and orchestras will play music of Switzerland, while on the weekend of June 25th-27th, the country in honor is Poland that celebrates the 200 years from the birth of Chopin.
The opening of the festival will take place in Friday, June 18th, in the square of Saint George with the concert of the cellist Lionel Cottet, while on Saturday, June 19th, the famous orchestra Sinfonietta de Lausanne will play in the Castle of Palamidi. On June 23rd and 24th, concerts will also be held in Vouleftikon, on the ground floor of the Municipal Library of the city.
The festival will end in the square of Saint George with two piano concerts of Krzysztof Jablonski on June 25th and 26th, and a concert of Apollon Musagete Quartet on June 27th.
