All women will travel for free with the public means of transport on the International Day of Woman on March, 8th. This decision was taken by the Greek Minister of Transport and Communication, Mr Evripides Stylianidis, who stressed that this day all women will travel for free with the public means in Athens and Thessaloniki and with the trains and suburban buses in all Greece, As he said, "this initiative is symbolic and points out the important role of woman in modern society. However, honour and respect to women must be attributed all year round through our actions".
