More direct flights are starting to the Greek islands from summer 2015, launched by British Airways and Edelweiss Air. These flights will make it easier for tourists to go directly and easily to the islands.

British Airways is launching flights from London Gatwick to Rhodes and Heraklion Crete, and also from London Heathrow to Corfu and Kos. Flights from Gatwick to Heraklion are starting on April 26th and have been scheduled for four times per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays). Flights from Gatwick to Rhodes are starting on April 29th, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

From May 1st to September 20th, British Airways will fly from Heathrow to Corfu four times per week and two times per week from Heathrow to Kos. Adding these new destinations to the twice-weekly flights to Mykonos and Santorini that British Airways launched last year and will continue for summer 2015, the company flies in total to six different Greek islands.

In the timetable released for 2015, Edelweiss Air announced more flights from Zurich to Crete starting as early as March 29th. Flights to Crete will now be available 6 times per week, while new destinations include Kos, Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes.
