Greek cuisine conquers London

Successful and perfectly coordinated was characterized the feast of Greek cuisine by the British. Organized by the Hellenic Foreign Trade Board, the feast is titled “Kerasma 2008, a Taste of Greece” and takes place in 16 restaurants in London. Kerasma aims to the promotion of the Greek food and drink products in the British market. The 16 renowned chefs include in their menus Greek recipes and Greek wines, so as that people get to know the real Greek taste. Inspired by the Greek gastronomy, the menus are prepared with Greek products available in England. Kerasma has begun in 12 May 2008 and lasts for 2 weeks. Londoners proved to have a big interest for Greek food, while the chefs advertise their Greek recipes in the media.
Some of the premium Greek products such as feta cheese, wild honey, herbs, local olive oils, olives and Greek yoghurt constitute the base for the 16 restaurant menus. The restaurants participating in the feast are the well known Wells, Rochelle Canteen, Arbutus, Blueprint Cafe, Galvin Bistrot de Luxe, Galvin at Windows, Club Gascon, St.Alban, Cigala, Caffe Caldesi, Magdalen, Locanda Locatelli, Leon, Riva, Clarke's and the awarded with 2 Michelin stars, Maze.
