Agia Markella Beach Chios: This beach is a long sandy and pebbled beach extending in front of the Monastery of Saint Markella, the patron saint of the island. It lies 40 km north west of Chios Town.The waters are very clean, deep and very cold. A path at the end of the coast leads to the place where Markella died as a martyr, where hot water comes out from the earth.
