Alea Mare Hotel in Alinda, Leros

The hotel is located in the beautiful village of Alinda, in the center of the Agia Marina Bay area. This is one of the most developed tourist areas of Leros, with modern tourist facilities and the longest and most popular beach on the island.

The area is full of eucalyptus and pine trees, as well as Tamarix, with a long beach of fine pebbles and crystal blue waters. In Alinda, you can visit the Belenis Tower, an elegant traditional stone house with two towers, beautifully restored, now hosting the Historical and Folklore Museum of Leros. Various cultural and artistic events are organized every summer in the Tower’s courtyard.

In the same area, you can visit the beautiful churches of Agioi Saranda and Agios Sophronios, as well as the sanctuary of an early Christian church with excellent mosaics. In Alinda, there are also numerous shops and tavernas, while sea lovers can enjoy numerous sports activities, including windsurfing, water skiing, sailing and diving. Sea races are also organized every year, during the “naval week” festivities.

Very close to Alinda are two small, idyllic sand beaches “hidden” between the rocks, “Panagies” and “Dyo Liskaria”. On Koufos beach, accessible only by boat, there is a cold water spring on the seafloor. Near this beach, you can also find the island’s highest mountain, Kleidi (320 m).
