1st Exomeria Trail Race in September

The 1st Mountain Race Exomeria Trail Race will take place on September 14th, 2014, at the northern side of Tinos island. The region of Exomeria in Tinos basically constitutes of Pyrgos, Kardiani, Isternia, Panormos and other smaller villages. This region is famous for its marble tradition, which is why a Marble Art Museum works there.
Throughout a route of 20.5 km, runners will have the chance to cross uneven pathways, see the natural beauty of the island and challenge their powers. This trail race starts and ends in the village of Pyrgos, passing from the windmills on the hill top, Rohari beach, Panormos port village, Marlas village, and other locations. Registration fee is 10 euros.
For July, the Pyrgos-Panormos Cultural Association has organized a volunteer program for the cleaning and maintenance of the hiking paths. There is also a call for volunteers on the day of the race.
