Olive trees and olive oil in the Olympic Games

An exhibition titled “Olive trees and olive oil in the Olympic Games” is all set to happen in Paros from the 26th till the 28th of September, 2003. Including a round table discussion of the history of the cultivation of olive trees and the production of olive oil, the exhibition aims to make people more aware of the significance of the olive and related products, manufacturing industry as well as its history and growth. Also included in the exhibition are guided trips to the various traditional oil presses in Paros. The event is being organized with the cooperation of the Institute of Hellenic Mills, Municipality of Paros, 1st Ephorate of Modern Monuments, the Paros County and the Education Association of Paros.
