4th Naxos Mountain Bike Race 2016

On October 23th at 12:00 p.m., an amazing mountain bike race is going to take place on the wonderful island of Naxos, which is situated in the South Aegean.This event is organized primarily thanks to the “Bicycle Naxos Group” and the “Aegean Islands: Prefecture of South Aegean”. The “Bicycle Naxos Group”, in particular, is a group of people who share their love and passion for bicycles and Naxos Island. This exciting bike race will have as its starting and end point the picturesque village of Sagri and during the race, you will have the opportunity not only to “loop around” this beautiful village, but also to the ancient temple of Demeter.
There are three types of races; there is the “fun race” (12 kms) for all those who participate in such a race for the first time, the “short-distance race” (12 kms) for everyone who is between the age of 15 and 19 and the “long-distance race” (24kms). The participation cost is only 5 euros. The athletes who are going to participate are entitled to 40% discount for Blue Star Ferries’ tickets and 30% discount, in case they want to bring with them their car or motorcycle.
