2nd Naxos Mountain Biking Race

The 2nd Naxos Mountain Biking Race will take place in the Tragea valley of Naxos on October 26th, 2014. Although the race is technically challenging, the route explores beautiful areas and many significant ancient and Byzantine monuments and sites.
There are two categories in the 2nd Annual Naxos Mountain Biking Race, a 22 km route for adults and a 9.5 km route for teenagers of 12-17 years old. The race begins and ends at the village of Sagri. Awards will also be given there.
The scenic route passes through mountain peaks, nice villages and sightseeing landmarks, such as the ancient Temple of Demeter, built in the 6th century BC, the monastery of Timios Stavros, Bazeos Tower, and the slopes of Mount Zas, which is the tallest mountain peak of the Cyclades.
Participants must have their own equipment. Registrations are open until October 24th.
