Pelion Karaiskos Farm Restaurant in Portaria

Karaiskos Farm was established near the village of Portaria in 2006.
The owner's goal was to grow organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs with the most authentic taste and by respecting nature. They plant only local seeds and use traditional techniques to bring their gastronomic philosophy (farm-to-table) to life.

Kitchen Garden "Minthi" is their restaurant proposal, and its dishes constitute the culinary embodiment of their philosophy!
Visitors have the chance to taste delicious traditional plates made with the purest of raw materials.
Their plates revolve around tomatoes, peppers, and zucchinis, and change according to the season.
The eggs used in the recipes come straight from the chicken of the family farm.

Every September, Karaiskos Farm hosts the Pelion Gastronomy Festival, where local producers exhibit and sell their products.

Besides a culinary destination, they also provide a wide variety of activities for their visitors, like archery and pony rides for children.
Through the culinary lessons they offer, guests can see the process of the farm-to-table philosophy in action by selecting vegetables from the farm and then using them in traditional dishes.

The restaurant is open from May to October.

The Karaiskos family also owns the lovely Kritsa Hotel, which houses the namesake Kritsa Restaurant. The establishment states that it is a gastronomy hotel, meant for high-quality-food lovers!
