Nafpaktos Festivals:There are several dates throughout the year on which local festivals and celebrations take place.
On "Tsiknopempti", the respective day of Mardi Gras in the orthodox calendar during the carnival period, a representation of a rustic wedding takes place in Nafpaktos.
Another important festival is the "Papaharalambia", which consists of athletic, nautical and

artistic events during the summer months with the participation of many Greek and foreign artists and groups.
On the 5th of October, there is a festival on the occasion of the anniversary of the sea battle of Nafpaktos.
On Good Friday, all the (portable) holy sepulchres of the churches from the surrounding area along with the municipal philharmonic band are met in the port after their procession in the streets of Nafpaktos. |

Then, all the lights are turned off and large fires are lit at the ramparts. Other great festivities -this time of religious character- take place on July 26th, in the memory of Agia Paraskevi, and on October 26th in the memory of Agios Dimitrios. |
