Mesolongi has several little villages in the surroundings of which several are of some ineterest.

Some Villages near Mesolongi Town:

- Etoliko is at 20 km north-west from Mesolongi, in the southern area of Etoloakarnania. It has a good amount of greenery, as well as some residential houses and good taverns with delicious specialities.

- Evinochori offers a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere in which to taste the delicacies at the various restaurants in the town, or even do some sports in the two soccer clubs in the area - Kalydona and Evinos.
- Galatas counts on, there is a small store, a gas station and some good taverns. It also provides the convenience of being at just 10 km from the ancient site of Mesolongi.
