Inauguration of archaeological museum

The Archaeological Museum of Nafplion, which was closed for five years due to restoration, will be inaugurated today evening by the Greek Minister of Culture, Mr Antonis Samaras. After the works done, it has now obtained a modern structure and can host the great collection of exhibits that kept for years into its stores, as there was no room for them. The aim of the museum is to present all the civilizations that flourished in the area of Argolida from the prehistoric till the Roman Times. The restoration of the museum was cofinanced by the European Union.
