Saronic Chamber Music Festival 2013

The 3rd Saronic Chamber Music Festival will welcome once more the Leondari Ensemble to islands and regions of the Saronic Gulf. A series of six concerts will take place in Methana, Hydra, Galatas and Poros from July 26th to August 3rd, 2013. The programme is a selection of chamber music masterpieces, written during the Greek War of Independence (1821-1832), including Mendelssohn's Quintet in A major and Octet in Eb major, Beethoven's String Quartet in F major, and Schubert's Rosamunde Quartet.

The Leondari Ensemble is a group of young graduates from some of the world's leading music colleges, who now perform in the most renowned orchestras in Europe and North America, including the London Symphony Orchestra and Berlin Philharmonic. Through the Saronic Chamber Music Festival, they combine their diverse musical influences and backgrounds with the universality of music.
