The capital village of the island is Lefkada Town and concentrate most of the activities all year round. The rest of the villages are mostly tourist resorts that come alive in summer, when tourists flow there. Both seaside and mountainous villages of Lefkada offer picturesque locales.

Location: On the northern side of the island
Description: Lefkada Town is the capital and administrative centre of the island. This is the first village to see as you cross the bridge from the mainland. Although it is not as impressive as the other villages, it is still a nice town to stroll around.

Description: One of the most picturesque villages of Lefkada, Sivota has a small port where fishing boats and yachts moor. It is famous for its delicious fish taverns.

Description: The small village of Kalamitsi is located on a green slopes and enjoys a magnificent panoramic view to the Ionian Sea.

Description: On the verdant slopes of a hill descending into the blue sea, there stands the village of Poros. It has traditional architecture and a fine beach.

Description: Athani is a small village built along the slopes of a hill and with amazing sea view. A large, sandy beach is located close to the village.
Location: 19 km south west of Town
Description: A small village in the inland of Lefkada, Eglouvi is surrounded by lush greenery. It distinguishes for its traditional architecture and the lovely square.

Description: The mountainous village of Karia is located at an altitude of 500 m, amidst an area of lush greenery and nice waterfalls.

Description: The view of the mainland is good from Ligia, which hosts a lovely fishing port and a fine beach.
