Kioni Ithaca: Kioni is a traditional mountainous village which lies in the south-east of Ithaca Island, 25 kilometres from Vathy (the capital), surrounded by verdant vegetation. The village was built on the slopes of a mountain by the inhabitant of Anogi who moved there at the end of the 16th century. It is a very picturesque village with little red tile roofed white houses and has a lovely port where picturesque fishing boats are mooring. Kioni is today a busy and modern resort.
