Greece
(and the Greek Islands) is a peninsular country which is located in the
South East Europe. It is a mountainous country and
it is located on the Mediterranean Sea, between
Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey and the Former Yugoslav
Republic of Macedonia. Greece has two seas: The
Aegean Sea at the East and the Ionia Sea at the
West.
Greece is divided in regions and islands groups
that are organised into prefectures called "Nomoi".
The most important of all Greece
cities is Athens,
the capital of Greece which concentrates more than
one third of the population. The second most important
of all cities of Greece is Thessaloniki in the North
and the third is Patra at the west. |
