Greece
is a peninsular country of the
South East Europe. It is mostly a mountainous country and
it is located in the Mediterranean Sea, between
Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey and the FYROM. However, it has about 160 islands and less than half of them are inhabited.
Greece has two seas: The
Aegean Sea at the East and the Ionian Sea at the
West.
The country is divided in regions and islands groups
that are organised into prefectures.
The most important of all Greece
cities is Athens,
the capital of the country, which concentrates more than
one third of the population. The second largest
city is Thessaloniki on the North
and the third is Patra on the south west. |
