In summer, another small air company, Sky Express, has air connections between Lesvos, Heraklion Crete, Rhodes, Samos, Chios and Lemnos.
There are ferries to Lesvos from the port of Piraeus, the largest port of Athens, 4-5 times per week. This ferry also connects Lesvos with other islands, including Syros, Mykonos, Ikaria and Chios. The travel time takes about 10 hours. In summer, there are also ferries to Lesvos from the port town of Kavala on the northern side of Greece. There are also ferries from Mytilene to Ayvalik Turkey. These ferries carry both passengers and cars.
