Various events are taking place in
the beautiful Medieval City of Rhodes as well as in
the rest of the capital and in some villages of the
island.
The event that every one is waiting for are the Cultural
Events organised by the municipality in the Town of
Rhodes during summer (from July to September) consisting
of various concerts, art exhibitions and theatrical
performances.

On summer evenings,
the GNTO (Greek National Tourism Office) is organising
a Sound and Light Show in the Old Fort (in the Medieval
Town of Rhodes) with explanations in French, English,
Italian and Greek.
Moreover, in May, a special festival takes place, the Medieval Rose Festival representing this lovely town as it was in the Medieval times. |

Every Monday evening free-entrance folkdances performances
are taking place in the Municipal Theatre of Rhodes (in
the capital of the island) where children and adults of
the Cultural Organisations of many municipalities and communities of the island are
performing various traditional Greek and local dances.
