| Nisyros is a tiny island of the Dodecanese complex, between Kos and Tilos. It is not much developed in terms of tourism and doesn't have many amenities, except for a few rooms to let and some hotels. However, the landscape is truly unique and interesting.
Nisyros would be a great island to spend a few days. Its most famous sight is the Vocalno, in the centre of the island, which is still active and one of the youngest in Greece. Other sights include the Castle of Panagia Spiliani in Mandraki.
Nisyros has a few villages and beaches. The villages are small and picturesque. Most of their inhabitants deal with agriculture and fishing. The beaches of Nisyros are not organized and thus they are peaceful. The most famous beaches are Lies and Katsouni. |
