Location: On the north western coast of the island
Description: Mandraki is the capital and the main port of Nisyros. It has many sites to see, including the Castle and the Monastery of Panagia Spiliani.

:: The Volcano of Nisyros

Location:
In the centre of the island
Description: The Volcano of Nisyros is active and consittutes one of the youngest volcanoes in Greece. It is found close to Nikia village and is the most visited site of the island.

:: Katsouni beach

Location: About 5 km to the east of Mandraki
Description: Katsouni is the largest sandy beach of the island. Its water is clean and a bit cool. It is a nice fishing area for the islanders.

:: The church of Panagia Spiliani

Location:
On a hill overlooking Mandraki
Description: The name of this Monastery means the Virgin Mary of the Cave. It was probably built in the 15th century and keeps many ecclesiastical relics inside.

Location: 15km from Mandraki
Description: This mountainous village is the smallest settlement of Nisyros. However, it is very beautiful and its inhabitants take good care of it.

:: The Castle of Mandraki

Location:
On a hill overlooking Mandraki
Description: This Castle is also known as the Castle of Panagia Spiliani. It was probably built in the 14th century by the Knights of Saint John and gives a great view to the island.

:: The Foklore Museum of Nysiros

Location:
On the road from Mandraki to the Monastery of Panagia Spiliani
Description: The Folklore Museum of Nisyros is houses in a traditional two-storey mansion. It includes an interesting collection of rare books, ecclestiastical items, traditional costumes and photographs that depict life on Nisyros today and a few decades ago.
