Location: On the north western coast of the island
Description: The capital of the island and its main port as well. Chora is actually the main tourist resort in Astypalea.

Location:

Description: A popular beach resort with sparkling water, cafes and restaurants, as well as other tourist facilities.

Location: Above Chora
Description: The Venetian Castle of Astypalea has got its name from the Querini family, whose houses form the fortification architecture of the castle.

9 km northwest of Chora
Description: One of the most crowded resorts in the island of Astypalea.

Location: 2 km northwest of Chora
Description: Livadi is a coastal settlement and has a long, sandy beach alongside a beautiful landscape that stretches across a fertile valley.

Location:
On the road to Vathi village
Description: There is a natural rock formation here in the shape of the Virgin embracing a child. It can be accessed only by boat or foot but it is really worth the effort.

:: The Drakos Cave

Location:
Close to Vathi village
Description: Drakos Cave, meaning the cave of the dragon, is a wonderful natural attraction. The cave is decorated with impressive stalactites and stalagmites of different colours. They were formed over time when water, containing lime, runs off the roof. Depending on the mineral contents contained in the water, the stalactites take different colours. Drakos Cave was associated with marauding pirates as it was thought to be a place where the pirates were hiding their treasures. It can be accessed by boat from Vathi.
