It is a lovely, picturesque village full of narrow stone-paved streets and Cycladic-style houses decorated with bright coloured flowers.
In Apollonia many beautiful churches can be visited as well as a Folklore Museum which exhibits an interesting collection of textiles, costumes, weaponry and paintings.
The capital of Sifnos offers all the
necessary touristy facilities: excellent
taverns, traditional pastry and coffee
shops, numerous bars, hotels and rooms
for rent, a post office, banks, pharmacies,
health centres, a dentist and a police
