Sifnian customs and traditions are shown in the everyday life of the Sifnians which are particularly religious and conscious of keeping carefully their customs and traditions inherited from their ancestors, traditions and customs that they will leave to their children.

Most of the local festivals and social functions in Sifnos Greece are sourced from religion.

Festivals, local carols, traditional marriages, carnival and Easter
 
people reunite at the church of the same name with the celebrated saint, assist to a religious service and then eat, drink and dance all night long to the sound of the local traditional instruments (the lute and the violin).
The most important religious feast takes part on the eve of the Ascension of the Lord and is the feast of Panagia Chrysopiyi which gathered the entire island in a great panigiri (big feast with live traditional music, drink and local food).

Each church has its own feast and celebration.
